Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certifies that textiles, from the yarn to the finished product, are free of harmful substances. The label therefore stands for textiles that have been tested for harmful substances.
As the name suggests, pocket spring cores consist of individual wire springs in the shape of a barrel, which are encased in fabric pockets. The pocket springs are surrounded by a foam cover.
Cold foam mattresses are made from foam produced by foaming polyurethane, which hardens at room temperature. Cold foam in mattresses is best suited to you if you feel cold at night. It stores your body heat particularly well.
A new mattress first has to adapt to your body. Showroom mattresses are subject to particular wear and tear, as many people lie on them to try them out. So give your mattress some time to adapt to your body.
Our mattresses are made exclusively from materials that have been tested and certified for harmful substances in accordance with OEKO-TEX Standard 100. If you notice a chemical smell, air the mattress thoroughly. Washing the cover can also help to reduce the smell.
This is entirely individual. When it comes to firmness, it mainly depends on how you prefer to sleep, so we recommend that you try out the mattress before buying it. For your reference, we provide the following guidelines: Firmness level 2 for approx. 85 kg, firmness level 3 for approx. 110 kg, and firmness level 4 for approx. 130 kg. In other words, the higher the firmness level, the harder the mattress.
When buying a mattress, there are various factors to consider, so we always recommend trying out the mattress before purchasing it. Nevertheless, we can offer the following advice: Pocket spring mattresses have good air circulation and hardly store any heat, making them ideal for people who tend to sweat. Cold foam mattresses provide a warmer sleeping environment, making them particularly suitable for people who tend to feel cold.
Our mattresses are listed with approximate dimensions and do not have fixed dimensions due to production reasons. We therefore work with a tolerance range of +/- 2 cm in length and width for dimensional deviations. Anything that falls within this range is not eligible for complaint.
We recommend replacing your mattress after 8 to 10 years at the latest. You should therefore turn it over every 4 to 8 weeks to ensure it remains comfortable. The exact washing instructions vary depending on the mattress; you will find them on the sewn-in care label. For mattresses wider than 100 cm, we recommend cleaning in an industrial washing machine. We also recommend ensuring you have the right slatted frame and a well-ventilated bedroom.
